On May 13th, 2017 Crooked Creek Farm riders invited family and friends to watch them compete in an In-House Horse Show. During the show riders competed at all levels, displaying what they learned over the Fall and Spring. All the riders rode well and the horses enjoyed the cooler weather! Below are highlights from the show for each rider!
Chloe Adams proved to be very adjustable as she rode or led a total of four horses throughout the horse show. However, her most impressive ride was on Diamond during the Novice Trail Class. Chloe had a plan and rode consistently with rhythm and direction, resulting in a winning ride. Go Chloe!
Demi Terry showed great skill and determination as she rode courses and classes on the ponies. Demi’s highlight was her pole course on Butterscotch. Leading up to the horse show, Demi worked hard on her posting and leg position. Her hard work paid off resulting in a beautiful ridden course and excellent flat classes. Keep riding Demi!
Sydney Spurrier agreed to school Zippy over larger fences in the horse show. Sydney did a great job keeping Zippy consistent as she navigated the larger equitation course. Keep riding Sydney!
Daisy Perez had several lovely rides throughout the show. She was focused on every transition and task resulting in high ribbons. Great job Daisy!
Reagan Scoggins rode well in all her classes. She rode Diamond and Butterscotch. Her highlight was the trail class, she had a plan, rode in, and executed that plan (especially with the gate). Keep riding Reagan!
Lettie Owen rode Diamond and Apatchy in her classes. She did a great job navigating the arena during her first ever mounted horse show! Go Lettie!
Ella Sexton’s rode several horses throughout the show! However, her rides on Zippy were most impressive! She did a great job in the Crossrails class, using her flexion and half halts. Stay focused Ella!
Trinity Nivens rode Sage in all of her classes. She focused on her diagonals and position throughout the morning and did a great job with ring management (staying by herself). Go Trinity!
Peyton Wilson focused on her rhythm at the trot while competing on her horse, Sage. Peyton did a great job with her ring management and determination throughout the show! Go Peyton!
Abbie Bailes rode several horses throughout the show. She adjusted well to each horse and rode them to their fullest potential. Go Abbie!
Felicity Adams competed on Diamond and Sage during the horse show. She did a good job navigating the arena and keeping her horse consistent during the show! Keep riding Felicity!
Deacon Wilson worked hard learning his patterns and how to establish direction leading up to the show. He did a great job maintaining a good seat while riding Apatchy! Go Deacon!
Kailee Tongson did a great job keeping Butterscotch consistent over her course of poles. Kailee rode straight lines and turns with a plan! Keep riding Kailee!
Marli Penninger rode several horses throughout the horse show. Marli had a great over fences course with Fergie. She kept Fergie consistent and focused on where she was going. Go Marli!
Heidi Sanders did a great job in her over fences course with Zippy. Heidi worked hard all spring on the pleasant look needed for the show ring. During the In-House horse show she got it! Keep riding Heidi!
Mary Alice Owen rode Butterscotch and Apatchy. Mary Alice worked very hard on her posting this Spring and it paid off! She had beautiful trots throughout the horse show! Keep riding Mary Alice!
Ava Hulsey worked hard during the fall and spring for her place in the more advanced classes at the Horse Show. During the show she jumped and cantered with confidence and determination! Keep the strong mindset Ava!
Maria Price rode several horses throughout the horse show. Maria had a lovely trail course with Zippy. She rode in with a plan and executed it. Keep thinking ahead Maria!
Kaley Curtis rode Diamond and Zippy during the show. Kaley rode both horses with confidence and determination. She employed her flexion and half halt skills when riding both horses on pole and trail courses. Keep riding Kaley!
Sara Jane Moore rode Fergie and Butterscotch during the show. Leading up to the show, Sara Jane worked hard on her transitions and position. Her hard work paid off when she ended with a reserve championship! Go Sara Jane!
Brisen Gainey rode several horses throughout the show. She maintained a consistent gait on all the horses and gave a pleasant presentation using flexion and half-halts! Keep riding Brisen!
Maddie Tongson had several lovely rides on Butterscotch and Sage during the show. Her most impressive class was her Equitation flat. Her canter departures and downward transitions were on point! Go Maddie!
Isabella Smith did a great job navigating the arena with Fergie and Butterscotch. Her consistency helped her do well over fences and her flexion and ring management helped her on the flat. She had several lovely rides throughout the show. Great Job Isabella!
All the Crooked Creek Farm Riders did a great job of encouraging one another, keeping up with their classes , making sure horses were taken care of, and riding well! Go Team!
