On October 20, Crooked Creek Farm took five riders along with Iris, Zippy, Butterscotch and Fergie to the Carolina Schooling Series Show in Tryon, NC. All the riders rode well and the horses were happy to be out and about! Below are highlights from the show for each rider and horse pair!
Maddie Tongson kept Iris happy and flexed to the inside during her classes. This was Maddie’s first off site show and she rode wonderfully, ending the show by accomplishing her goal of consistency. Keep up the hard work Maddie!
Daisy Perez competed with Fergie during her first off site show. The pair showed great ring management skills and Daisy worked hard to make sure her pony was happy and perfected her transitions. Keep riding Daisy!
Maria Price rode Iris in the cross rail division. She focused on keeping her horse straight and consistent over the fences. The pair had nice trips into the arena and showed good ring management skills. Keep riding Maria!
Marli Penninger competed with Zippy and Butterscotch during her first off site show. With Zippy, Penninger showed in the Walk/Trot flat classes. She impressed the judge with her excellent equitation and ability to keep Zippy looking her best. Penninger and Butterscotch competed in the cross rails division. She kept Butterscotch straight and forward to all of her fences resulting in successful classes. Good job Marli!
Brisen Gainey rode Fergie and Iris in the show. She kept Fergie focused during the flat division and the pair ended the season nicely. Gainey rode Iris for the first time in an over fences class and worked on keeping her rhythm and direction consistent. Go Brisen, Fergie, and Iris!
A big “Thank You!” to everyone who gave up their Saturday to support the riders at the show!
