On April 21, several Crooked Creek Farm riders and horses ventured to a Carolina Schooling Horse Show. It was a day of overcoming obstacles for all of the riders and several firsts for most of the horses. Below are highlights for each rider!
Chloe Adams rode both Fergie and Butterscotch during her first off site horse show. She competed in the Walk/Trot poles and Walk/Trot Flat divisions. During the horse show she worked on keeping her horses consistent and safe (in crowded classes). Keep riding Chloe!
Maria Price rode Lincoln in the Walk/Trot Poles division at her first off site horse show. She kept Lincoln consistent over the poles and focused on straight lines and flexion through her turns. Great job Maria!
Felicity Adams took Babe to her first off site horse show. Together they competed in all of the Walk/Trot Divisions. Felicity kept Babe relaxed and confident as they competed throughout the day. Keep riding Felicity!
Peyton Wilson rode Sassy Sage in all three Walk/Trot divisions. The pair worked to establish a consistent rhythm in their first few classes, but by the end of the day were maintaining good rhythm and working as a team. Go Peyton!
Ava Hulsey rode Lincoln during her first off site horse show. She competed in the Walk/Trot Flat and Walk/Trot Crossrail Divisions. During the horse show she worked on keeping Lincoln flexing to the inside and establishing good direction. Keep riding Ava!
Heidi Sanders took Iris to her to her first offsite show in a year. The pair competed in all three of the Walk/Trot Divisions. Heidi kept Iris focused and moving forward making the pair very competitive. Go Heidi!
Brisen Gainey and Fergie entered their first Walk/Trot/Canter Crossrail and Flat divisions together. Brisen worked on keeping Fergie going and establishing good direction. Keep riding Brisen!
A huge thank you to Matthew Price and Caleb Wilson for trailering our horses and making sure they reached the show and got home safe and sound! Thank you to all the parents and riders who ventured to the horse show to help our riders feel confident and supported! You all are awesome!
