On May 27, four Crooked Creek Farm riders along with Fergie, Butterscotch and Apatchy traveled to the Carolina Schooling Series Show in Tryon, NC. All the riders rode well and the horses were happy to be out and about! Below are highlights from the show for each rider and horse pair!
Brisen Gainey rode Fergie and Butterscotch. While riding Butterscotch, Brisen employed flexion and timing of her transitions to deliver beautiful rides on the flat and over poles. While riding Fergie, Brisen used flexion and half halts to excel in the Walk/Trot Crossrail Division. Brisen did well with both horses and left with several ribbons! Go Brisen!
Mary Alice Owen rode Butterscotch in the Walk Alone class. During lessons this Spring Mary Alice worked hard on learning to establish rhythm at the walk. She did a great job keeping Butterscotch on the rail and focused. Keep riding Mary Alice!
Lettie Owen rode Apatchy in the Walk Alone class. During lessons this Spring Lettie worked hard to learn to how to keep Apatchy walking and happy. At the horse show, Lettie did a great job keeping Apatchy forward and listening. Great job Lettie!
Abbie Bailes rode Fergie in the Walk/Trot/Canter Divisions and schooled Butterscotch over the Crossrail Courses. Abbie did a great job keeping Butterscotch consistent and forward to all the jumps. Abbie and Fergie made quite the pair as they exceed in the Equitation and Hunter Under Saddle classes. Go Abbie!
A big “Thank You!” to everyone who gave up their Saturday to support the riders at the show!
